Les Femmes

I wanted to bring these women together around songs that speak of their histories, of their intimate relationship to the world, and that have been passed down to them through family circles.

In doing so, I explore the place of roots that shapes a form of expressiveness unique to each culture. I also explore their capacity to be and to open themselves to others within a shared space that is not the familiar one, the space in which we habitually retreat.

I propose a path that shifts their perspective and seeks to create a dialogue between voices and bodies. I try to apply a principle of chorality that guides them throughout the performance and orchestrates all the songs and gestures.
